Pagers, Myspace, Cell Phones and Facebook what they all have in common. Pagers use to be the cool thing to have back in the day but what was the use of it if you didnt have a phone to call ther person back. What did getting a page really do for you, yeah it left you a number to call but what help is that when you dont have a telephone to use on hand, so that quickly faded away and is no longer in use. Then the usage of Cell phones came into place where it was a HUGE Step forward for everyone. You got to hear your messages, see the number, and if you chose to answer or call back you were capable of doing so at that exact time; instead of waiting till you were by a phone near you. A few years later Myspace was created just like pagers they were the “it” thing to have for a while but when Facebook came out myspace was no longer cool nor up to date with the latest options as what facebook brings. You get to add your friends, store their info, write a message, put up a status, add your pictures, broadcast an email everything that you can do with a cellular device. Then you wonder what other new and strange technology or website will come out next? Will bbm come up with something that you can like and add comments to ppls status or pictures?!? Things we wont know till later in the future

Arnald Schwazenegger

Arnald Schwazenegger otherwise know as our former Governor or what we all use to call him the “Terminator” had just annouced that he fathered a child with a love one in his household staff, under the roof of which his own family had lived in. It was stated that this had happened before his election for governor but never the less it was and is still considered cheating. Which makes you wonder if there are any men who are loyal to their wives and children at home. If ruining a family is at all of any importance to them. At my age you grow up learnign from your mistakes figuring, out what it is you like and dislike in a relationship and what it is you really want. But when you hear in the news and read in papers that men in all ages are still cheating on their wives it questions the fact if I would ever want to get married. Would i want to be one of those wives who gets a divorce simply because my husband couldnt control himself and sleep around with a housemaid or a friend or some stranger. Women already have their own opinion on men whether its good or bad but when you constantly hear news like these that marriages are being broken up because simply a man couldnt control his urges, it bring somewhat of a bad image towards them.

Fed Ex

How many people hate sittign in traffic?! I know i do, its like sitting in a parking lot, that never moves. You have angry drivers honking constantly switching lanes every so often or flicking you off for not letting them get infront of you. But have you ever noticed your surrounding? what people do in their cars or what object, billboards, advertisments you see around you? Strangely enough I noticed one that was a surprise to me a Fed Ex sign. Looking at you think it just says “Fed Ex” and it does but have you ever paid close attention to the symbol that is inbetween the E and the X?! It is an ARROW!!!!! I was shocked when i noticed it, you have to really pay close attention to really see it and when you do its the first thing that you will always notice when you see a fed ex car driving by you or when you see its add somewhere whether its on tv a billboard or a delivery post outside your house.

when you think all is welll…

Have anyone of you guys ever experienced getting your car broken into?!? You think you just had a great day ending it by leaving the gym but little do you know as your walking to your car you see your windows smashed, glass everywhere not knowing how to react to the situation then being terrified in making that one phone call to your mom. Not only are you feeling all this anger inside of you but you have to also listen to your mom yell and ask why this happened, if you have any enemies when yet you don”t know the answer yourself. Well this happened to me today. Boy was it a great day for me! I just got a car wash prior before going to the gym thought I found the best parking spot close by so when I leave I don”t have to dread walking all this way back alone. Luckily it was still daylight the time I left and the broken glasses were still visible. I had first thought that maybe just maybe it was the wrong car i had approached but when looked again checked my plates I realized how I was just wishing for it to be another car and not mine. Luckily I decided to take my wallet inside with me but the down fall was that I not only lost a purse but a laptop as well.  They didn’t get a hold of everything of mine but they did get to keep a  nice purse and a new computer for themselves. I filed a police report but that didn’t get them to come and help me with the mess I was left with, my car wash went straight to hell the moment I decided to park and work out. They asked for my information what belongings were taken, how much money I had the cost of my laptop and so forth but did they tell me how it was i was going to drive a car with glass everywhere NO. Not to mention they didn’t want me touching anything so it would be easier for them to get finger prints later. I was stuck having to slide everything on the floor of my car, drive not by choice of course, with all windows opened slowly as possible and hope to get home in one piece. What a great day this was!!!

Role Models

As toddlers to early teens we have always had some sort of role model figure in our lives. From Superman hero’s to siblings, celebrities and NBA stars.  Most of us that are into basketball and are a HUGE FAN of the LAKERS heard, saw or read about the comment Kobe Bryant had yelled out on the courts. Although the term “faggot” was said in the heat of the moment, and nobody can control what they blurt out when they are angry  the fact that he had said such term that is looked down on in the gay community brought him some consequences in having to pay a certain fee and apologizing to everyone on his interview.

Coachella..

A once a year event everybody plans months ahead of time. The day all Djs come together and perform at Indio California, minutes away from Palm Springs. Coachella is our version of woodstock its an outdoor event, hippie like where everyone is stimulated by the mystical lights and the intensity of the music. A variety of artist from Duran Duran, Nas, Doucksauce, Empire of the sun, Afrojack to Kanye West all join us in sharing their wonderful  music during this 3 day event.  The event is enormous that even Heineken creates a billboard whose soul purpose is to attract attention for the yearly event. Their phrase “The stars come out at night” could not have fit the description any better.  While Indio, California is a basic desert during other times of the year, for this annual three day spectacle it is nothing short of extraordinary.  Although Coachella is far different than it was when the event first came together, one thing that has and will always remain constant is the contagious sense of youth and wonder that is ignited within each person that takes part in the festivities.

budget cut

After yesterdays lecture in class it made me really think about the class cuts that will be happening next year.  Is it really fair that the state of California is cutting our classes? that our education isn’t as important to them as we had hoped?   A lot of us student wont be able to transfer to universities by the time they are ready to move on and that delays their ability to earn a living and enter the job market. Student will have to rely on their parents financially longer than before in an economy that a majority of families are hurting financially.

Take me for an example if I do not get into the classes that I need by summer or next fall i wont be able to transfer therefore I’ll be behind and not be able to start my life and career at the age that I expected for myself.
